BeatMaze (“we”, “our”, “us”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it. This Privacy Policy explains how the BeatMaze mobile application (“the App”) uses device permissions—particularly the camera—and how related data is handled.

BeatMaze requests access to the device camera solely for gameplay-related features that require visual interaction. Camera access is always initiated by the player and is used only after explicit permission is granted.

Camera-based features may include:

• Scanning QR codes placed at physical game locations
   
• Augmented Reality (AR) gameplay elements
   
• Taking photos as part of specific game tasks or challenges
   
• Submitting photos voluntarily within the app
   

The camera is accessed only while these features are actively in use and never runs in the background.

BeatMaze does not:

• QR code scanning is performed locally on the device
   
• Only the decoded QR information  is used
   
• No camera images or video frames are stored or transmitted
   

When photo features are used:

• Photos are captured only after the player explicitly chooses to do so
   
• Photos are used only for the stated gameplay purpose
   
• Any upload, storage, or deletion behavior is clearly communicated in the app at the time of use
   
• Photos are not shared publicly without the player’s consent
   

BeatMaze does not sell, rent, or share camera-related data with:

• Advertisers
   
• Analytics providers
   
• Data brokers
   
• External partners
   

If any data-sharing practices change, this Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly.

BeatMaze does not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age of 13. Camera usage is limited to gameplay features and does not involve identity verification or biometric processing.

Players are always in control:

• Camera permission can be granted or revoked through device settings
   
• Declining camera access may limit certain gameplay features but does not prevent general app use
